Watch your child’s eating habits. Obesity in children is becoming an epidemic in America. Parents can do the most good when it comes to their children’s eating habits because they purchase all of the food for the household. Make good decisions and set an example for your child by discouraging sugary snacks and buying healthy alternatives. Balance nutrition with other life style choices, like exercise.

The Parents Anonymous® support group has helped me to go on, to say the way I’m doing it just isn’t working and to take a breath. I learned that you can worry all you want, but that doesn’t change things. You learn how to handle those everyday storms, when they refuse to do homework or break curfew.

Best of Baltimore 2011

Baltimore’s biggest and BEST party of the year!

On August 18, 2011, over 1500 guests celebrated Baltimore Magazine’s 2011 “Best of Baltimore” issue at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center at the Hippodrome. Guests enjoyed the specialties of 36 of Baltimore’s best restaurants and caterers; sampled beer, wine and specialty drinks while enjoying the live music of The Real Geniuses.

Proceeds from the evening benefitted The Family Tree’s child abuse prevention programs.
