Strategy Session on Child Wellbeing
THE FAMILY TREE'S HOSTS STRATEGY SESSION ON CHILD WELLBEING WITH STATEWIDE PARTNERS
The Family Tree, Inc. Maryland's leading child abuse and neglect prevention organization hosted a statewide partners meeting on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at its offices at 2108 North Charles Street, Baltimore. The meeting gathered professionals, policy makers and concerned citizens from across the state including Department of Human Resources, Social Service Administration Executive Director Dr. Rosemarie Satyshur and Barbara Shaffer from Prevent Child Abuse America. The forum was designed to develop a unique partnership to improve the safety and well being of Maryland's children. "We were pleased to have so many of the state's leaders on this issue in one room. It allowed us to share information and strategize on what steps we can take to improve the lives of our state's children. The day was exhilarating, extremely positive, and productive," said Patricia Cronin, LCSW-C, Executive Director of the Family Tree. "We were able to identify tangible steps we need to take in order to assist Governor Ehrlich in realizing his ‘Year of the Child' initiative."
