BALTIMORE - Parenting is the toughest job in the world, but no one has to do it alone. Help is just a phone call away! Whenever a parent or caregiver feels like the stress of child rearing is at its limit, they can call The Family Tree's Family StressLine, a free 24-hour crisis and referral hotline dedicated to serving anyone struggling with the ongoing stress of parenting. Whether the issue is about how to discipline, manage an adolescent, deal with a child's poor school performance, or any other stress related to parenting, the StressLine is available to all Marylanders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1 (800) 243-7337.
When calling this confidential hotline, a professionally trained, non-judgmental and caring volunteer will be there to help. Together, parents and caregivers can talk through concerns and come up with solutions to help callers be the best parents possible.
Each year, The Family Tree serves more than 13,500 people in every county across the state, A national affiliate of Parents Anonymous® and The National Exchange Club Foundation, the agency is dedicated to strengthening families and preventing child abuse and neglect through education and support. The Family Tree also has offices in the Mondawmin/Penn-North community of Baltimore city and in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford, Howard and Prince George's counties.
