The best way to deal with tantrums is to avoid them when possible. Try using these tips: try to give toddlers “some” control over things, such as when they will brush their teeth or the flavor of their juice; keep off-limit objects out of their sight and reach; distract your child when possible; choose your battles and accommodate them when you can. Even negative attention is better than no attention at all to a child, so make sure you're attending to the behaviors you want to encourage.

Next Generation Network

Next Generation Network

The Next Gen Network is a young professionals group dedicated to supporting and promoting The Family Tree. Created in February of 2011, the Next Gen Network was formed to cultivate future leaders and supporters of The Family Tree.

This exclusive network is geared toward men and women ages 21-40 with an interest in philanthropy, and will include members with diverse perspectives, skills and areas of expertise. The group will elect officers, hold meetings and form their own action plan each fiscal year. The Next Gen Network will support The Family Tree by helping to fundraise, planning or assisting with events, promoting the organization, recruiting new members to the network, and volunteering.
