Sometimes children don’t want to listen or follow instructions. Try these tips to see if it makes a difference: say your child’s name and ask that he look at you. Give simple, clear requests, use few words. Be realistic by giving instructions that you know your child is physically and developmentally able to do.

Over $2 billion is spent every year in Maryland treating the life-long consequences of abuse. Sadly, some children never fully recover from their abuse. We must work together to invest in preventing abuse before it occurs. It not only makes fiscal sense but, more importantly, it makes common sense.

Our programs are effective and efficient. $.78 of every dollar we raise goes directly back to our child abuse prevention programs. Your money will be used to fund parenting education classes, Parent’s Anonymous® support groups, home visiting classes, our 24-hour Stressline, and youth development programs.
