I can't believe the size of my child’s backpack! Backpacks are being used by kids to carry everything, but can often cause problems when they are too heavy and fall apart. Children should be using a lightweight pack with padded shoulders and a waist belt and using them on BOTH sides of their shoulders to prevent back problems and bad posture. Children should never be carrying more than 15% of their body weight in their backpack.
Lives Changed
The biggest thing I have gotten is knowledge. I can consistently go back and refer to what I learned when something comes up and I’m not sure how to handle it. And I can pass on what I learned to other parents with young children.
