Eat. Play. Read. Just 15 Minutes a Day

Parenting is one of the most rewarding and life-affirming jobs there is. But raising kids is tough, and so is finding quality family time among the many school, work and life responsibilities. The Family Tree can help you make small changes that will have positive, lasting benefits!

Our 15 For Families campaign highlights everyday activities that are opportunities for bonding and growing.

  • EAT Together – Children who eat with their parents on a regular basis are less likely to engage in substance abuse and be overweight, and more likely to succeed in school and report feeling close to their parents.
  • PLAY Together – Children are playing less than ever before - at home and school. Play is important for physical, mental and social development!
  • READ Together – Reading with your child builds early language skills and a strong foundation for school success.

The time investment is small, but the benefits of spending as little as 15 minutes a day eating, playing and reading with your family are enormous - starting with more focused, creative and sociable kids.
