The Family Tree's confidential, toll free statewide Parenting HelpLine provides information, referrals and support for parents and other individuals in care giving roles, professionals, community members, children adolescents, families, educators and more. The Family Tree staff and trained volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to provide information in a confidential setting. Simply call 1-800-243-7337 or email.
Support to Parents, Grandparents, and Care Givers. Professional and trained volunteers provide ongoing support to parents, grandparents and caregivers who need parenting tips, are struggling with caring for a new baby, have questions about child development or want to find resource organizations that provide family support in their communities.
Support to Children and Youth. The Family Tree's Parenting HelpLine offers a safe and confidential place for children. Teens can discuss tough subjects such as family problems, family violence, bullying, peer relationships, victimization, and pregnancy.
Support to the Community at Large. Educators, students, faith organizations and various agencies throughout Maryland can call the Parenting Helpline for information on preventing child abuse, as well as find referrals to community services professionals who assist victims and survivors of abuse.
