The Family Tree is Maryland’s leading nonprofit dedicated to preventing child abuse and strengthening families. Every day, we provide parents and caregivers with the education, support, and tools they need to create safe, stable, and nurturing homes.

The Sally Bauer Fund for Families honors our dear friend and beloved Board Member, whose passing leaves an immeasurable void. For more than 20 years, Sally was a passionate leader and champion of this work—serving as Board Chair, Vice President, and Development Committee Chair. Yet her true legacy lives far beyond her titles.

Sally led with kindness, gave with generosity, and believed deeply that every child deserves a safe and loving home. She inspired those around her not only through what she did, but through how she cared—fiercely, compassionately, and without hesitation.

Through this fund, we carry her legacy forward transforming her lifelong commitment into lasting impact. Together, we will expand our reach, strengthen more families, and ensure that more children across Maryland can thrive.
